We stand behind our products and warrant that all jewellery will be free from manufacturing defects for the life of the products. If you believe your item has a manufacturing defect, you may return it to us for inspection. If we determine your merchandise is damaged due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the merchandise or, if we deem it appropriate, replace the item. If the item is no longer available, GLASSBOX replaces it with a similar item.
If we determine that the damage is not caused by a manufacturing defect, then we will notify you and let you know if repair services are available at cost or otherwise.
Warranty Exclusions;
- Due to their required flexibility in design and fabrication processes, we are unable to guarantee a full gold plating on our jump rings and a warranty claim would not apply to that since a replacement would not solve this; however, both the chain and pendant are always guaranteed to give off that gorgeous lasting sheen for years.
- Maintenance, repair, sizing or other service performed by someone other than Glassbox will immediately void your warranty.
- Since gold and steel are not scratch-proof materials, scratches/breakage that occur from normal wear and tear do not fall under a warranty claim.
- Fine jewellery is not immune to normal wear, activities or trauma. This is particularly true for rings since hands are regularly subjected to considerable abuse. We do not provide warranties for damage due to normal wear, product loss, loss of stones or theft. Damage or loss that results from failure to observe maintenance necessary to maintain the integrity of the product is also not covered.
Some examples of common jewellery issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include:
- Discoloration or fading due to exposure to chemicals, cosmetics, swimming pools, hot tubs or bathing.
- Chain Breakage: Chains, especially those that are thin or delicate, may break or become damaged with frequent wear or accidental pulling. This can occur due to stress on the metal links over time or from getting caught on clothing or objects.
- Scratches: Over time, jewellery can develop surface scratches through regular wear. These scratches may be more noticeable on softer metals like gold and silver and this is a natural part of wear and tear.
NOTE: Fine jewellery, in general, wears over time and may require you to have a variety of pieces on rotation to help prolong their lifespan and prevent normal wear.
